All of the Chatty Caterpillars gathered together at welcome circle to celebrate Cooper's birthday! We also talked about the weather, schedule for the day and the book we would read later during language circle.
tiny seeds adventures. During Language circle we talked about what a flowers need to grow. Students help put pictures up after answering the four different components, water, sun, dirt and air.
During playground time we made friends with the talking turtles! We road cars, played on the jungle gym and played house!
During art, our class painted individual flower pots. The class enjoyed choosing their own colors to decorate their art project.
For science we examined flowers and how they react to different environments. We learned that flowers do best in the sun with water and die without water and light. We also learned that flowers drink the water into the petals. Therefore, if the water is red, then the petals will also turn red!
During Centers we play a matching game, made a garden out of blocks and planted the different fruits and reviewed all the books we read this week!
The Chatty Caterpillars had a great day at camp! We cannot wait to learn about Caterpillars tomorrow.
