Thursday, the last day at the farm!
What a fun day in the chatty Caterpillars classroom! Today we read the book Blue Chicken in Language circle. We all loved the characters and thought how funny it was all the animals turned blue. The whole class helped identify the pictures in the book, and sequenced the order of events in the story.
During Science today we experimented with eggs to see what happened to them when we put them in different substances. We places an egg in orange juice which did not affect the egg. The second egg we placed in blue die, which turned the egg blue. The last egg we put in vinegar which dissolved the shell of the egg!!! The class took turns bouncing the egg on the table...the vinegar turned the egg into a bouncy ball!
During art today we make baby chicks coming out of a shell. We put the arms, egg shell, beck and eyes on the chicks head. We loved learning the parts of the chick and followed directions to glue the parts where they belong.
During centers we played a matching game with animals and made animal sounds for every animal we picks. We had so much fun in the chatty Caterpillar class today! We can not wait till next week about things that go!
