This week, our goals are to:
- Become familiar with class routines and schedules
- Meet fellow classmates
- Get to know your Chatty Caterpillar teachers
- Learn class songs
Book of the Day:
- Monday: McDuff Comes Home by Rosemary Wells
- Tuesday: What's This? by Caroline Mockford
- Wednesday: The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle
- Thursday: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle
Our theme goals are to:
- Know the life cycles of plants and insects
- Know what grows and lives in the garden
- Sequence and describe events related to the book of the day
- Increase vocabulary
- Engage with peers by equally participating in center activities
- Improve focus and attend to activities
And this week at camp you can get excited to:
- Compare and contrast the seeds of different fruits and vegetables
- Grow your own bean plant
- Decorate flowerpots
- Experience metamorphosis from a caterpillar to butterfly
- Learn the Chatty Caterpillars class song, "In the Garden" songs, plant song, butterfly song, welcome and goodbye songs
